Frequently Asked Questions

When you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I know it can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes you have lots of questions, other times you’re not sure what you should ask. Here’s a list of a few of the more common questions and the answers to them.

How long will it take for me to get my images?

My turnaround time for delivering images is 6-8 weeks from the wedding date.

Will I get the unedited files too?
No. I’ve written a blog post about this which you can read here. But the short version is, you book your photographer based on the fact that you love their style. Editing is part of that style, asking for the unedited images is like asking a baker to see their ingredients before they make you a cake. No photographer sends unedited images unless you want it for a few select reasons, and even then, you’ll have to pay a lot of money for it.

Have you shot at my venue before?

Chances are, the answer is no. There are a handful of venues I’ve photographed more than once. However, even if I had shot there before, the lighting on your wedding day could be completely different depending on the weather and time of year. I always arrive early on the day to scout locations so it really doesn’t matter if I’ve shot there before. I also have a set up that would allow me to shoot under any lighting/weather conditions.

Can we meet with you before the wedding day to discuss our vision and details?

Absolutely, I’m not a coffee drinker but I’m happy to meet for tea or hot chocolate (you’re welcome to the coffee). If you also need help creating your wedding timeline, I’m happy to help.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! I believe that this gives us a great chance to get to know each other but more importantly, it gives you the opportunity to see how I work on the day so you don’t have anything to be worried about when it comes to the wedding.
